Lee Boylan | mmt2014

Lee Boylan is a Producer/sound engineer and musician with a broad range of influences from traditional to electronic music.He has recorded and produced and played with many bands from his Studio and has also worked as a live sound engineer with many well known acts.He currently is a member of the band Fight like apes where he produces /writes and plays Drums.Lee also has began working for audio production equipment manufacturer Presonus for their European market.

This project explores the immersive possibilities of using Binaural microphone techniques in the live theatre environment.Binaural recordings played back over headphones can create a virtual 3d sound environment for the listener ,but works usually only when played back over headphones.For this project Lee will be presenting a short drama with small microphones placed in the actors ears to let the audience hear from the action from characters perspective.
