William Whyte is a musician and visual artist based in Dublin. He is a multi instrumentalist and previously studied animation before pursuing and obtaining a BA in Visual Arts Practice from IADT Dun Laoghaire, where he specialised in sculpture, ceramics and performance art. Since 2009 he has taken part in group exhibitions in The Back Loft and Broadstone Galleries in Dublin and began playing gigs across Ireland as a session drummer, eventually touring Europe with Dublin based musician Clockwork Orchestra. Before pursuing the Mphil in Music and Media Technologies in Trinity College Dublin he worked as a drum circle instructor and supervised ceramics classes in Sankalpa, a centre for addiction recovery. His main inspiration comes from music that combines live instrumentation and electronics with inclinations towards live musicians who replicate electronic music. Other influences range from dbeat punk and grindcore to ambient electronic music.
