Michael McNamara graduated first in his class in Music Technology receiving a B.A from the NUI, Maynooth in 2011. In 2012 Michael began a Master of Philosophy in Music and Media Technology at Trinity College, Dublin. Michael's main area of interest is the creation of visual analogies of audio synthesis and audio production techniques in moving images. In 2014 Michael's work was screened at the University of the Pacific SoundImageSound 10 festival. Michael's thesis is a study of audio to visual mapping in visual music, under the supervision of Maura McDonnell.
